Cristina Săracu
Cristina Săracu’s professional history is a narrative of strategic vision through people and about people, an unconventional approach for the early ʹ90s, when leadership had not yet acquired today’s known meaning (people development, mentoring, coaching …).
She developed teams, brands and companies, intuitively implementing principles of diversity and organizational inclusion, in times when there was barely a theoretical discussion relating to these topics across the Romanian business environment.
Cristina believes that one of the major roles of the decision maker is to grant a real chance and to see beyond what the interviewed individual is today, to “foresee” what they can become. Last but not least, to help them, to teach them, to provide them with all the tools to succeed.
Engineer by profession and a graduate of an Executive MBA with the Tiffin University (Ohio, USA), with a career of more than 20 years in retail and not only, she coordinated Podravka’s representation in the region and actively contributed to other business development missions.
In 2011 she gave up on the role of general manager, mainly on the idea of being a hired employee, becoming a freelancer – since then developing various projects in the commercial area (sales, marketing, branding, logistics), in the organizational area (headhunting, mentoring, facilitation, diagnosis, strategy and implementation), along with a variety of other types of projects and assignments.
A volunteer for many years, Cristina was aware of the need for an honest and open dialogue about diversity and inclusion, about equity and belonging – an essential imperative in any type of organization, especially from the perspective of a coherent and applied strategy. At present, she is involved in consulting and volunteering projects, in both organizational and educational areas.
Diversity is a fact; inclusion is a choice – it is the chance we give to change mentalities, the prerequisite for balancing organizational dynamics.
