Mona has an extensive experience of more than 15 years in communication, public relations, sustainability and CSR. For 14 years Mona led the Sustainability, CSR and Community Relations activities within the OMV Petrom company. She created “Andrei`s Country Platform”, the biggest and most known corporate social responsibility platform in Romania – focused on solutions, know-how and models created to support people with initiative who want to change the life for the communities in which they live.
Mona developed and coordinated the implementation of sustainability strategy and reporting activities in OMV Petrom and more national projects for education, health and environment. She also lead innovative and impactful communication campaigns with focus on the employee`s and mass education aligning the brand values with CSR and sustainability approach of the business. Her corporate background in a such a complex and risky field as oil and gas industry helps address business problems with efficiency. Thanks to her unique approach on engaging people from different business contexts, consulting and involving other stakeholders such as NGO`s representatives, journalists, key opinion leaders in every stage of the process, the initiatives she initiated have had long term results, in terms of society impact as well in terms of reputational results. Mona is a pioneer in CSR and sustainability in Romania, launching in 2008 the first CSR TV show called “Respect for the future”.
Her passion for education and the assumed role of a big change maker determined her to start her personal involvement in the vocational education in Romania and to launch “Romania Meseriasa” program within “Andrei`s Country Platform”. And for 3 years ( 2017-2019 ) she was the Romanian ambassador for UE in the European Vocational Skills Week.
Mona is currently a consultant on communication, CSR and sustainability working with different companies (retail, energy). She is also producing and presenting at Europa FM a radio show about environment and sustainability , called “Green Mission”.
